With Valentines Day quickly approaching I know a grouping of men are moaning and groaning about what to do/get for their significant other. If you are like me, at that time money is difficult and frustrating to find a delightful gift that overheads less than $20-30 makes things even harder. Well I have found that if you put sufficient thought into a gift you can make it very inexpensive and gain big points. I have on paper a lot about egg rings in the past so naturally I thought of how I could use them in this circumstances. There are many variations and several designs that egg rings come in, and one of the most popular is the heart ring. With a heart ring you can create a whole heart-shaped egg that makes for a great addition to any breakfast in bed item. I would suggest using the heart ring to cut out a heart shape in whatever you will be serving the egg on (i.E. Bread, English muffin, etc). However if you are not going to serve it as a sandwich, there is more room for creativity.
With the egg as the attraction you could consider a few added touches to manufacture the meal more romantic. A great option would be to use ketchup and write a nice message on the plate, like "watching you wake up is like watching the sunrise." A common romantic phrase like that one is OK, but more meaningful would be something more personalized that draws on a recall you have together. A new thing you could do is shape other sides that you have on the plate all like hearts and form the note of her first name or something like that.
All this might be done with the help of one small tool that only expenses a few dollars at any cheap mass merchandise store, like Wal-Mart or Kmart. If you wanted to, you could even include the heart ring as part of her Valentines Day gift. I would however use caution when giving cookware as a gift as this can often cause conflict if she does not like to cook all that much.
